INDIANAPOLIS, IN (June 04, 2026) — As Onkyo celebrates its 80th anniversary, the milestone stands as a testament to the enduring vision of founder Takeshi Godai. Since 1946, Onkyo has built a global legacy rooted in engineering excellence, innovation, and a passion for elevating the human experience through sound—earning its place among the world’s most iconic premium audio brands.

Long celebrated for its legendary home theater AV receivers, Onkyo is now expanding far beyond its traditional roots with the introduction of the new ICON, MUSE, and CREATOR Series products. Designed for today’s listeners and high-end audio enthusiasts alike, the new lineup blends decades of craftsmanship with advanced streaming technologies, modern connectivity, and refined industrial design.

At CES 2026, Onkyo unveiled an advance preview of its 80th Anniversary Edition MUSE Series and Creator Series models—products inspired by some of the company’s most beloved Hi-Fi designs while boldly redefining the future of premium audio. Featuring authentic rosewood side panels and speaker cabinets reminiscent of classic Onkyo components, the anniversary editions capture the warmth, elegance, and nostalgia of vintage Hi-Fi while integrating cutting-edge electronics and high-resolution streaming capabilities.

More than commemorative products, these anniversary editions symbolize the rebirth of an iconic brand—honoring Onkyo’s remarkable heritage while confidently shaping its next chapter, where timeless design, emotional connection, and next-generation performance converge for a new era of modern Hi-Fi.

The MUSE Series – 80th Edition Y-50 Network Integrated Amplifier

The Onkyo Muse Series marks the rebirth of one of audio’s most iconic brands—blending the warmth, craftsmanship, and emotional appeal of classic Hi-Fi with the performance, connectivity, and design demanded by today’s music enthusiasts. With the introduction of the new Muse Series, Onkyo pays homage to some of its most celebrated industrial designs through a new generation of modern Hi-Fi products—a departure from Onkyo’s traditional styling direction. Compact yet powerful, the Muse Series delivers rich, comfortable sound in an elegantly refined package.

The industrial design of the new Muse Y-50(G) Network Integrated Amplifier Anniversary Edition carries forward the unmistakable aesthetic of the 1990s, when the Integra name represented the pinnacle of Onkyo engineering and design. Inspired by legendary components like the iconic Integra M-588 amplifier—recognized for its real-wood walnut side panels, illuminated meters, and commanding presence—the Muse Y-50(G) captures the elegance and craftsmanship of classic Hi-Fi while reimagining it for today’s listeners.

Distinguished by elegant Bordeaux walnut side panels, a rigid aluminum Champaign Gold front panel, and a uniquely patterned San Kuzushi ventilated top plate inspired by Japanese culture, the Y-50(G) blends timeless design with modern functionality. A vibrant 5.46-inch color LCD displays song information, settings, and analog-style VU meters, while the intuitive Onkyo Controller app simplifies system management.

Designed for a new generation of music enthusiasts, the Muse Y-50 combines advanced streaming compatibility with exceptional amplification, delivering 250 watts of refined Class D power into 4-ohm speakers through an Axign amplifier with MOS FET output. Whether paired with large floor-standing speakers or compact bookshelf models, the Y-50 delivers a wide, detailed soundstage that continues Onkyo’s long heritage of sound refinement.

Extensive connectivity includes analog RCA, COAX, HDMI, HDMI ARC, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and MM/MC phono inputs, along with support for Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, AirPlay 2, Google Cast, and Qplay. Completing the experience is proprietary room calibration technology developed specifically for the Muse Series, optimizing performance for virtually any listening environment and delivering immersive, uncompromising audio in any space.

The CREATOR Series – 80th Anniversary Limited Edition

The industrial design of the new Creator GX-30ARC and GX-10DB Powered Monitor Anniversary Limited Edition draws inspiration from the iconic Onkyo D-200 Liverpool monitors introduced in 1987. Echoing the era’s compact, high-performance bookshelf speakers, the new models feature refined proportions, dark silver trim rings, textured black baffles, striking Bordeaux walnut finishes, and black angled stands—capturing the timeless character of classic Hi-Fi while reimagining it for a new generation of listeners.

The Onkyo Creator Series is designed for today’s modern creators, music lovers, gamers, and work-from-home professionals who demand premium sound without sacrificing style or space. The new Onkyo GX-10DB and GX-30ARC Powered Monitors deliver pure, dynamic, and immersive audio through compact, elegantly modern enclosures inspired by Japanese minimalism. Blending eight decades of audio innovation with contemporary connectivity and refined industrial design, the Creator Series reflects Onkyo’s bold new direction for modern Hi-Fi.

Powered by highly efficient Class D amplification and advanced DSP technology, the Creator Series delivers powerful, detailed sound that far exceeds its compact size. From deep, controlled bass to articulate mids and crystal-clear highs, every detail is reproduced with precision whether connected to a desktop, laptop, turntable, TV, or gaming console. Designed for versatility, the monitors feature Bluetooth 5.3, USB-C, Optical, RCA/Phono, AUX, Subwoofer Pre-Out, and HDMI ARC connectivity on the GX-30ARC, allowing seamless integration into virtually any modern entertainment or creative setup.

Meticulously engineered for both performance and aesthetics, the Creator Series features bi-amplification technology that independently powers the tweeter and woofer for improved accuracy, clarity, and low-frequency stability. The included angled speaker stands are constructed from premium ABS resin with a refined grain texture for enhanced rigidity and reduced resonance compared to conventional materials. The Creator Series blends clean lines and carefully selected materials to complement any environment while maintaining a natural, understated appearance.

Available August 2026: Onkyo Anniversary Edition MUSE Y-50 Network Integrated Amplifier ($1,699. U.S.), CREATOR GX-30ARC ($399. U.S. per pair), and GX-10DB Powered Monitors ($299. U.S. per pair).
